Weston Missouri, known for it's winery and distillery, also has two nice hiking areas. One is Weston Bend State Park.

I've been here a few times before, but never in the fall. The changing colors of the fallen leaves as well as no ticks or misquotes made this a lovely trek this time. We started on the paved bicycle trail which had some steep climbs on it, and then ventured off to the unpaved and still steep Harpst trail. On the Harpst trail the trail itself was very thin and had no embankments on the side at times. But the overlook onto the Missouri River is splendid.
